When Man Closes A Door God Opens Up A Window

You know they say that when man

closes a door that God

opens up a window,

Yeah, man I am hoping that's true

Because if not I'm about to blow!

I've been writing poetry for about as long

As I am old,

My poems were included in a play in

'08 by the late Director PJ Paparelli

which was about an urban stronghold.

There were 4 subjects,

I was born and raised in Cabrini Green

So I represented for my set.

I told about how though we were poor,

We had hopes and dreams and more.

Fast Forward it is now the year 2024

And opportunities to showcase my

Poetry have been few and far between

Even though I've had all of my ducks in a row,

So I am hoping that what they say

Rings true that when man closes a

door that God opens up a window.
