Tell Me Your Name and what year you graduated from Near North Career Magnet High and I will post your comments on my wall.

I was in the Class of '87 at Near North Career Magnet High School.

My major was Secretarial Practices.

Mrs. Bell was one of our typing teachers.

Mrs. Bell was very fashionable and she didn't want

us glancing down at our fingers. You were suppose

to keep those eyes on your copy and those fingers

on home row or you would occassionally get a swat

with a ruler. I didn't want that swat so I kept my eyes

on my copy and my fingers on home row!

I thank God for her and Mrs. Leonard

at Prosser Vocational High School on the west side

because I was able to type quickly and do short hand and

typing is what helped me to pick my MOS which was 71 Lima

when I joined the Army in 1992.

Mrs. Leonard was no joke at Prosser Vocational High School.

She whited out the letters on the keys on the typewriter!

Mercy.

Ms. Poe was one of my homeroom teachers at Near

North.
